Relaxation (Swedish)
The most common of the massage modalities. Usually it involves a combination of the following strokes: long, flowing strokes (effleurage), kneading (petrissage), friction, vibration, or percussion (tapotement) for generalized relaxation. Oil is used to promote more fluid of gliding strokes.
Remedial/Deep Tissue
A deep pressure technique developed to improve the flow of energy and promote the body's ability to heal, with the addition of forearm and elbow strokes. A technique that uses Trigger Point Release which requires firm pressure to specific points in muscles (that refer pain to other parts of the body) and stretches to the involved muscles.
Pregnancy Massage
Regular massage throughout the pregnancy is also said to shorten labour time and the return to optimal fitness after birth. The use of the pregnancy massage pillow makes it comfortable for the expecting mum-to-be to receive a massage whilst laying on her stomach. (*massage not suitable before 16 weeks).

Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a variation (usually combines hot stone work with hands-on massage mix) on relaxation massage therapy. Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body. The massage therapist may also hold the stones and use them to massage certain areas of the body. The stones are immersed in water and heated in an electric heating device until they are within a certain temperature range. The stones may be placed at specific points on the back, in the palms of the hand, or between the toes. The heat warms and relaxes the muscles, which allows the therapist to apply deeper pressure, if desired. The warmth of the hot stones improves circulation and calms the nervous system.
*Requires Advanced Bookings for Hot Stone Massage – minimum 4hrs notice to prepare stones to correct temperature.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
Varying time required of 60 - 90 mins.
This is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique to assist lymph flow and aid in drainage of tissues, designed to manipulate lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels with the goal of increasing their activity and promote the flow of lymph.
**NO CHILDREN/ADOLESCENT** must be above the age of 18.
* There is no room in the treatment room for another adult to be present.
* There is no room in the treatment room for a child to be present, while parent is receiving massage treatment.
